Corners have been turned

Some important corners have been turned in the transition process at Prince of Peace. There is an emerging Spirit and energy that is coming forward as the congregation moves through this period between regularly called pastors. We are not just waiting for the next pastor to arrive (though I hope that you are praying for that to happen). Our ministry is happening now.
Natural Church Development survey results were just unveiled, revealing Prince of Peace to be a congregation of several, well developed strengths. The NCD health team is scheduling meetings to interpret these results and get feed back about ways to address our minimum factors for growth. The Call team will also be at these meetings gathering your ideas for the last piece of the profile that will be submitted to the Synod. This is the las step before they begin interviewing candidates for the Senior Pastor position at POP.
Coming soon: "Road to Emmaus" meetings. The first round of these mneetings will be to open another channel of communication about the progress of growth during the interim. I will also be doing a little introduction with those who attend to a process called, "Appreciative Inquiry." Throughout this Spring their will be events where we gather to share our hopes and dreams in some inventive , fun ways. We will be looking for the places where God is already at work calling us into fresh ministries and new growth.
All of this energy comes at a time when we anticipate some remodeling (kitchen and bathrooms) and at a time when our budget and participation levels are at low points. Each person has a part to play in the shaping of POP's future. These are exciting times and we want all of you to be a part of them. How is God speaking to you?
